UNIBIO APPOINTS KLAUS KJELDAL AS CHIEF PRODUCTION OFFICER
Unibio has appointed Klaus Kjeldal as new Chief Production Officer from 1 February 2017. Klaus Kjeldal’s main responsibilities will lie within commissioning, manufacturing and quality control with respect to the production plants converting methane into protein, and he will report directly to Unibio CEO Henrik Busch-Larsen.
Klaus Kjeldal joins Unibio with extensive international manufacturing operations and supply chain executive experience. In his earlier position, Klaus served as Manufacturing Director (Enzyme Solutions) at DSM Food Specialities, where he was a member of the executive management team of the business unit. He has held various executive and leading positions at companies such as Novozymes, Nestlé, Orkla and FLSmidth.
Commenting on the appointment, Unibio CEO Henrik Busch-Larsen said:
“Klaus has a very strong profile and will strengthen the Unibio team at the exact point in time where we are half way through the construction period building the first large-scale production plant abroad. Klaus will be leading the commissioning team and will be in charge of securing production plants operating according to specifications. We are very pleased to have been able to attract such a qualified CPO, and we welcome Klaus to the Unibio family.”
After 30 years of professional experience from large-scale biotechnology, FMCG, medical devices and heavy industry, Klaus Kjeldal is looking forward to working with Unibio´s innovative technology.

Klaus Kjeldal holds a Bachelor´s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark and a Bachelor of Commerce (Organization and Strategy) from Copenhagen Business School.
